Having been lucky enought to been at the 83 Saratoga, 84 Augusta, 87 Garden shows and witnessed all these great Dews - I have to say 84 Augusta and 83 Saratoga go Neck and Neck - from a witnessing and playback perspective - people were just as blown away on the day as they were later listening to them

I also saw the 85 Richmond and Hershey Dews which people talk about - I dont consider them in this league

A more interesting Question : Why are all the Great Dews on the EAST coast?

Consider also the 77 Barton, 78 Passaic and 80 Rochester, 80 Portland, 82 Spectrum - which people regularly mention - all East Coast as well

Maybe Jerry gets apocolipic thoughts while out East?

They frequently played their best on the East coast. Not just dews. One could easily argue they played their very best in NYC overall.

I've always liked the 4/1/84 Dew from Marin County:

I put Hampton 84' in there with Augusta 84' and Saratoga 83', Don't know why it's not mentioned more. Seems obvious.
